Matrimonial and Family Law

Robert E. Goldstein, Esq. and Steven Kropf, Esq. are experienced matrimonial and family law attorneys in our firm. They were both were both admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1974 and ever since then, they have been actively engaged in representing people with regard to divorce and all family law related issues in New Jersey.

Robert and Steven appear in courts throughout the State of New Jersey. They were both were both admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1974.

Robert was a law clerk for a Superior Court Judge who heard family law cases (1974-75). He then entered private practice and has been engaged in the practice of matrimonial and family law since 1975. Robert also represents individuals in personal injury and workers compensation matters, and has a broad range of experience in many aspects of civil litigation, including arbitration and mediation.

Steven has been in private practice with various firms and has a wide range of legal practice experience, representing clients in divorce and family law, criminal and municipal court and general civil litigation, as well as having an active real estate practice. He has been "of counsel" to Heilbrunn, Pape & Goldstein, LLC since 1998.

Robert has been asked by other members of the Bar to arbitrate and mediate cases for them, and both Steven and Robert are original and continue to be members of the Middlesex County Matrimonial Early Settlement Panel, in which the panel members hear divorce and other family law matters pending in the Superior Court of New Jersey in Middlesex County and make recommendations for settlement to assist the parties involved in resolving their cases before trial.

Robert is a former president of the Middlesex County Bar Association, serving in that capacity from May, 1997 to May, 1998. Both Steven and Robert are members of the Middlesex County Bar Association and New Jersey State Bar Association Family Law Sections. Steven and Robert both serve on the Middlesex County Bar Association's family law courthouse committee that meets monthly with the Middlesex County Superior Court Assignment Judge (the judge who presides over all judges in the county) and Presiding Judge of the Middlesex County Superior Court's Family Part.

Robert has had two articles published in the New Jersey Family Lawyer, a scholarly publication of the Family Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association.
